Marin Bikes are Made For Fun. Since the first mountain bikes bearing the Marin Bikes name debuted in 1986, the brand has been dedicated to enriching the lives of our riders by making fun, high caliber bicycles, which provide years of riding enjoyment.

Marin Fairfax Commute

The Fairfax matches weekend speed with weekday comfort, combining the best bits of our Beyond Road and Transit models. Lightweight frames and fast-rolling tires add heaps of zippy speed and upright geometry, flat handlebars and powerful disc brakes ensure great braking performance, no matter the conditions.

All models feature rack and fender mounts and we’ve included options for step-through and ‘standard’ frames to perfectly suit your style. The Fairfax is equally at home whizzing to work as it is sauntering on the cycle path. Road, dirt, whatever. It’s all good.

FAIRFAX 1

The Fairfax 1 is the most affordable in the collection. Named “Best Hybrid” many years running by Wirecutter it’s built around a lightweight Series 1 aluminum frame and a sturdy CrMo fork and comes with a 3x7-speed Shimano drivetrain, Clark’s mechanical disc brakes and plenty of reliable Marin components.

FAIRFAX 2

The Fairfax 2 is the mid-tier bike in the Fairfax collection, with plenty of upgrades over the base model. It’s built around a fast and light Series 2 aluminum frame and aluminum straight-blade fork and comes with a Shimano 2x8-speed Shimano drivetrain, Clark’s hydraulic disc brakes, Vee Tire Co tires and plenty of reliable Marin components.

Marin Nicasio Tour/Commute

The Nicaso is for the rider looking for something different and modern, yet with traditional steel construction. Classic lines and CrMo frame tubes have the soul of a classic bike, with the geometry and 700C x 30mm-40mm or 650B x 47mm tires to let riders handle any surface.

NICASIO

The most affordable model in the family, the base-spec Marin Nicasio is built around a smooth-riding and stylish Series 1 double-butted CrMo frame and fork and zippy 700C wheels, with room for up to 35mm tires. We’ve specced a 2x8-speed Shimano Claris drivetrain, Vee Tire rubber, powerful mechanical discs and plenty of Marin components.

NICASIO 2

Our top-of-the-line Nicasio, the Marin Nicasio 2 steps up to a Series 2 double-butted CrMo frame and a full carbon fiber fork. There’s also a Shimano Tiagra 2x10 speed drivetrain, powerful in all conditions Shimano hydraulic brakes and fast, grippy Vee tires in 700x35. Unlike the other bikes in the Nicasio family, the 2 comes with stiff and sturdy 12mm thru-axle dropouts.

NICASIO +

The Marin Nicasio+ is our Nic’ with a modern twist, switching in big-volume 47mm rubber, 650b wheels and a sleek and simple 1X drivetrain. We also specced a microSHIFT 1x9 drivetrain, powerful Tektro mechanical discs and plenty of Marin components. Those WTB Horizon 650Bx47mm tires not only provide a cloud-like ride, but also look super dreamy with tan sidewalls.

Marin Larkspur Urban All-Terrain

The Marin Larkspur has all the looks of an old-school step-through but with chunky tanwall tires, wide rims, powerful disk brakes and the option of a dropper seat post. Beneath those old-school looks is a super modern and Marin Bikes-made steel frame and plenty of today’s standards to keep it right up to date. Why just roll to the deli or ride to work when you can take a detour down your favourite dirt track on the way? It's an adventure bike, it's a gravel bike, it's a mountain bike, it's a commuter bike... it's whatever you want it to be.

LARKSPUR 1

The Marin Larkspur 1 is built around a Series 2 butted CrMo step-through frame, a curved CrMo fork and 27.5” wheels. It has high volume 2.35” Vee Tire Co tires, a microSHIFT 10-speed drivetrain, Tektro hydraulic brakes and plenty of reliable Marin components to complete the package.

LARKSPUR 2

Awarded Most Supple Bike of the Year 2021 by Path Less Pedaled, the Marin Larkspur 2 is a modern Mixte, turned up to 11. High volume 2.35” Vee Tire Co tires, 11-speed Shimano Deore drivetrain, Shimano Deore hydraulic brakes and a Tranz-X dropper post for added comfort and control. Let’s roll!

Marin Kentfield & San Rafael Fitness + Fun

Perfect for your daily trips and further-afield exploration on the weekend, it blends the best bits of a hybrid commuter and a go-anywhere MTB with a dash of retro-modern style. The Kentfield has an upright and comfy ride position, multi-surface tires and stacks of rack and fender mounts. Roads, bike paths, back alleys and even a little bit of dirt, the Kentfield gets you where you need to go, day in and day out.

SAN RAFAEL D2

Stay active, have fun and get from A to B with Marin’s San Rafael DS2.

Our top-spec Marin San Rafael, the DS2 is lightweight, comfortable and packed with modern, reliable components. It’s made for exploring your local rail-trail, cruising to work, for the grocery-run or for keeping in shape. Efficient on the road, comfortable on the dirt tracks. Whatever, whenever.

It has a Series 2 Dual Sport aluminum frame, a shock-absorbing SR/Suntour NEX suspension fork with hydraulic lockout, reliable Shimano 2x8 gearing, grippy Kenda Kahn 700C tires and hydraulic disc brakes so you’ll always be in control.

KENTFIELD 2

The Kentfield 2 is our top-tier Kentfield. Designed to be affordable, comfortable and reliable it’ll go the distance, every day of the week.

Our Series 1 aluminum frame is lightweight and responsive, and comes decked out with plenty of rack and fender mounts to suit your setup. There’s a microSHIFT 10-Speed drivetrain, Vee Tire tires, Clark’s mechanical disc brakes and plenty of reliable Marin components.

The Kentfield 2 is also available in a step-through version.

Marin DSX Gravel/Performance

Zippy aluminum frames, carbon forks, heaps of tire clearance, low standover, dropper post compatibility and a whole load of options for bags and fenders. Based around the Gestalt X drop-bar, we made the DSX to feel like an MTB but still cut it on all of those adventures that would normally demand curly bars.

DSX 1

Hopping up to a higher-spec Series 3 aluminum frame, the Marin DSX 1 has a whole heap of upgrades over the base spec version. Bolt-thru axles add stiffness and a carbon fork drops the weight and adds even more mounting points for bikepacking bags. There’s also an 11-speed 1X Shimano Deore drivetrain, WTB Riddler tires, Tektro hydraulic brakes and plenty of reliable Marin components.

DSX 2

The Marin DSX 2 is built around a Series 3 aluminum frame and a lightweight, carbon fork that’s packed with mounting points for bikepacking gear. There’s also a 12-speed 1X Shimano Deore drivetrain, WTB Riddler tires, Tektro hydraulic brakes and plenty of reliable Marin components. Key upgrades over the DSX 1: Shimano Deore 6100 1x12 drivetrain & Tektro R285 hydraulic disc brakes.

DSX FS

Is it a gravel bike? Is it a mountain bike? We’ve got no idea - we just know that it’s a whole mountain of fun. The Marin DSX FS breaks the gravel bike mold even further by adding a 60mm SR/Suntour front suspension fork for hard-charging, off-road adventures. There’s also a 12-speed 1X Shimano SLX drivetrain, Vee Tire Co tires, Shimano hydraulic brakes and plenty of reliable Marin components.

The Sausalito has a powerful Shimano STEPS electric motor to boost you up those hills and get you where you're going cool, comfy and composed. 650b wheels and wider tires smooth out the bumps and there are heaps of options for fenders, frame bags and lights making it the perfect customisable commuter.
