Xtracycle ignited the cargo bike revolution that’s spreading around the world. Xtracycles are designed with the belief that virtually anything in your life can be accomplished with a bike and a sense of adventure.
Twenty years ago, an idealistic Stanford engineering student, Ross Evans, landed in war-torn Nicaragua. In a tin and cinder-block shed, he welded together a revolutionary invention: a long-tail cargo bike that empowered farmers to pedal their produce to market.
Returning to California, Ross founded Xtracycle with a vision for transforming American transportation. Together with countless early riders, Xtracycle ignited a cargo bike movement that is spreading across the globe.
The EdgeRunner
An evolution of the EdgeRunner design. Featuring the same 20" rear wheel for better stability and acceleration but now features a more thoughtful frame design with a lower stepover height, a 15mm front thru-axle for better stability, and "WeddingRing" rack attachments. The new models were designed alongside the brand new X3 Bag System and frame geometry that can fit any rider. This bike is built to grow with you, for life.

The Xtracycle Leap
The new and improved FreeRadical “Leap” is even tougher, more rigid and more versatile — not to mention sharper looking.
While the original FreeRad could only accommodate 26″ and 700c tires, the Leap can be installed with bikes with 20″, 24″, 26″, 650B, 650B+, 700C, 29er, and 29+ tires, with a max tire width of 3″.
The added bonus is if you are looking to build a cargo eBike now or down the road, there are various eBike conversion kits that can help turn your Leap into a super electric-assist cargo bike.

How it works
The kit essentially bolts into your rear drop-outs, extending your wheel base. The installation clamps mount firmly to your bike’s chainstays near the drivetrain (i.e., the bottom bracket), creating a super-strong connection.
This ensures that your Leap converted bike won’t just feel like a “bike with a conversion kit” on it but more like a solid cargo bike frame.
The Leap accepts a wide range of add-on components for hauling both kids and cargo. You can easily build up your Leap cargo bike to meet your needs whatever they may be.
The Xtracycle Stoker & eStoker

While the Swoop, Xtracycle’s other longtail cargo bike, is designed for maximum cargo stability with a smaller rear wheel, the Stoker has two 24-inch wheels. That gives more derailleur clearance and a smoother ride when you venture off road onto more rugged terrain.
Cruise along at 20 mph with a Performance or CX motor. Or up to 28 mph with the Speed motor. For city trips up to several miles, an eStoker will get you there about as fast as a car. Sometimes faster.
Of course, the Stoker is available in a purely human-powered version, too. You choose.

If you prefer a purely human-powered cargo bike that can handle adventures on or off-road, the XPP is for you. With two spacious CargoBay bags, our Hooptie Handrail system, U-Tubes foot rests, and a MagicCarpet seat cushion, you are ready to go right out of the box.

The New Xtracycle RFA Sport & RFA Utility

The RFA is built on a patent-pending Xtracycle designed bike frame that can be set up in two different modes: sport (i.e. short wheelbase) and utility (i.e. mid length wheelbase). The RFA grows and shrinks to meet your needs through all stages of life, from young adult, through parenthood and beyond.
Essentially, the rear wheel has two possible mounting points on the same frame. The forward position gives you a standard bike wheelbase. The back position gives you the wheelbase of a midtail cargo bike, about 5-1/2 inches longer.
Three motor options:

• 28 mph Bosch Speed (Class 3)
Three battery options:
• 400 Wh/~40 miles per charge
• 500 Wh / ~45 miles per charge

RFA Sport
The RFA Sport package comes with our Sport MultiRack, allowing you to carry two panniers or one child. On the front, we’ve included PorterRack mounts for attaching our patented PorterRack and PorterPack for additional cargo capacity, if you choose. With a standard bike wheelbase, it will fit on bus racks, car racks, and roll right into an elevator.
RFA Utility
